Adult Individual Therapy
An individualized process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.
Adult Targeted Case Management
This mental health-targeted case management service provides goal-oriented and individualized support to individuals 18 years old and older. The purpose of our mental health-targeted case management services is to assist adults in attaining self-sufficiency in living, learning, work, and social environments. Case managers are trained to conduct a thorough assessment that includes a person’s emotional, social, behavioral, and developmental functioning within the home, work, and community. Based on the adult’s assessment, our targeted case manager will develop an individualized service plan, link each adult with other community providers or resources, and monitor the goals set forth in the adult’s service plan.
Anger Management Services
Our anger management program helps clients manage and direct their anger healthily to restore their quality of life and mental health. Chronic anger is one of the many conditions we treat to help clients get healthy control over their lives. Suppose a patient’s anger has pushed them toward substance or addiction. In that case, we administer a personalized, professional dual-diagnosis treatment plan to treat both conditions simultaneously, which includes group and individual counseling, meditation and breathing exercises, anger management education and awareness, and a clear and realistic behavioral plan for the future.
Batters Intervention Service
The program purports to address the root causes of domestic violence and prevent participants from committing acts of domestic violence in the future. It consists of an initial assessment, orientation, and at least twenty-six (26) weeks of group counseling sessions.
Behavior Analyst Assessment
Behavioral assessment involves various methods, including direct observations, interviews, checklists, and tests to identify and define targets for behavior change. The behavioral assessor uses a trauma-informed approach to observe, describe, explain, predict, and sometimes correct behavior. Behavioral assessment can be useful in clinical, educational, and corporate settings.
Comprehensive Psychosocial Assessment
We strive to help each individual to meet their full potential, is an evaluation of their mental health and social well-being is a great start. It assesses the perception of self and the individual’s ability to function in the community.
Disability Consultation
In an effort to continue to support individuals as they explore opportunities to elevate stress and improve their quality of life, we offer Disability consultations. Our program increases access to Social Security disability benefits for eligible children and adults who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and have a serious mental illness, medical impairment, and or co-occurring substance use disorder. Disability benefits through two programs: the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program and the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program. Trained and experienced experts at Amitie will Conduct interviews to verify if the individual meets the criteria and collect crucial documentations and records that allow our specialist complete and submit comprehensive and high-quality SSI/SSDI applications and approval rates
Domestic Violence Services
Domestic violence, also known as intimate partner violence, spousal abuse, or domestic abuse, is the abusive behavior of one partner toward another in an effort to gain and maintain control. The behavior can vary in frequency and severity and may include physical or sexual violence, as well as emotional, psychological, or financial abuse. Intimate partner violence affects all manner of romantic relationships and can negatively impact family, friends, and others. While exploring their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change while focusing on SAFETY.
Employment Assistance Program
Employee Assistant Program: (EAP) is a work-based intervention program designed to identify and assist employees in resolving personal problems (marital, time management or emotional problems; family issues; substance/alcohol abuse) that may be adversely affecting the employee’s performance. EAP services are made available not only to the employee but also to the employee’s spouse, children, and non-marital partner living in the same household as the employee. EAP plans are usually 100% paid by the employer.
Full Mental Health Assessment
This assessment gives the counselor a complete picture of the individual’s emotional state. It also looks at how well the person is able to think, reason, and remember (cognitive functioning). Assess their physical, medical, cognitive, psychological (personality, emotions, beliefs, and attitudes), and behavioral history and current condition to determine the presence of any mental health disorder. The purpose of an assessment is to build up an accurate picture of each client’s needs. During an assessment, a social worker/ mental health counselor will ask about the following; mental health symptoms and experiences, feelings, thoughts and actions, physical health and wellbeing, housing and financial circumstances, employment and training needs, social and family relationships, culture and ethnic background, gender and sexuality, use of drugs or alcohol, past experiences, especially of similar problems, issues relevant to client’s or others’ safety, whether there is anyone who depends on the client, such as a child or elderly relative, your strengths and skills and what helps the client best and hopes and aspirations for the future.
Grief Therapy
This intervention aims to help people cope with grief and mourning following the death of loved ones or with major life changes that trigger feelings of grief (divorce or job loss). It includes thinking creatively about the challenges that follow loss and coping with concurrent changes in their lives. Often people feel disorganized and tired, have trouble concentrating, sleep poorly, and have vivid dreams, and they may experience changes in appetite.

Individualized Parenting
Sessions feature the combination of psychoeducation with activities to foster positive parenting skills, self-nurturing home practice exercises, nurturing family time, and positive brain development in children birth to 18 years.
Parenting Assessment
The Nurturing Parenting Programs target all families at risk for abuse and neglect with children birth to 18 years. The programs have been adapted for various family populations, including Hispanic, African American / Black, Hmong, foster and adoptive, military, teen parents, children with health needs, parents with special learning needs, and families in alcohol treatment and recovery programs. This evidence-based assessment helps us identify a starting point and level of risk.
Parenting Behavioral Observations
Counselors meet with the child and parent to observe natural interaction, then follow up with recommendations that encourage healthier relationships.
Therapeutic Visitation
Designed to help parents who cannot have unsupervised access to their children due to a history of child physical or sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse, or mental illness an opportunity to build a nurturing and appropriate relationship with their children.
